@ JONNOG88 The fact is that he was an outstanding boxer in his prime. He had great talent but was not a fighter. He bottled fighting Nigel Benn in his prime, because Benn was coming to hurt him, rough him and bust him up. Jones seems crazy today, so past his prime minister and his ass handed to him by Hopkins.

boxing and MMA. Boxers make 100x mma guys make money. And ‘aired in prime time, is an Olympic sport. What is MMA? The flavor of the month for a very special audiance, who prefer a fast race adreneline above a display of heart, skill and intelligence, such as boxing. I boxed, I know what it takes to reach the top, extreme skill. All children who are not good enough for boxing or other sports go to pay high MMA.

@ BcibibcibcpCBPenso find that none of the top ranked MMA fighters now working for a living, have shrunk to 6 figure range. At first I was reluctant to follow the MMA, and after watching a program that shows the first 100 fights, I must admit that I was impressed. The fights are more realistic in terms of how a battle plays out in real life and another vantage point that I noticed is that judges are more or less right most of the time, no decision bullshit so common in boxing.
MMA? I will never forget the fight Mercer-Sylvia. Mercer was almost 49 years, fat, Punch Drunk, puched Tim Sylvia (former UFC champion, one of the best MMA guys) from the cold with one punch, the fight lasted three seconds. I see guys in MMA fight for the title who work full time! Can you imagine a world famous boxer working full time? A true professional is to train all day, live for his sport. The point I want to make is that there is a huge difference in talent between aa boxing and MMA.

Green had sought a struggle for years with Jones, but Jones or should I say his administration, always had some reason for refusing to fight.
